Full details are still forthcoming but BRW has learned that Spanish Beisbol Network(SBN) has signed a 3-year agreement with Blackstrap Broadcasting's WWZN AM 1510 for Spanish-language, play-by-play broadcasts of the Red Sox.
WWZN will feature all 162 home and away games, as well as any postseason contests, with regular season coverage beginning this Sunday(4/4) when the Red Sox take on the NY Yankees in the home opener at Fenway Park. WWZN is also expected to add some additional baseball programming and content very shortly.

And in the other Zone news : And speaking of WWZN AM 1510, one of station's original concept sports shows that dates back to its days as a full-time sports talker("Zone 1510") is about to launch into regional syndication. Mouthpiece Boxing which has grown into a 3-hour "fight" block of boxing, wrestling and MMA will land on stations in Manchester/Nashua NH(WGAM), Providence(WARL) and Florence, NJ(WIFI) starting in April. The show is currently heard on WWZN on Saturday nights will likely move to another timeslot due to addition of Red Sox games.
"One" less talk show? : The future of "One in Ten", the weekly gay and lesbian talk program that has been heard on WFNX 101.7FM since 1992, remains unclear after co-hosts Sue O'Connell and Keith Orr signed off for the final time last Sunday night. In her column today, O'Connell who co-publishes Bay Windows implied that the show will continue in a different format on Lynn's alternative rock station.
