Wilber named River's program director

Catie Wilber has been named WXRV/River 92.5's new program director. Wilber, Boston area native, began her radio career in 1993 while attending Emerson College as in intern at WFNX 101.7. She joined WXRV in 2002 and was named station's music director in 2006. She was appointed to the role acting program director/music director in October 2009 replacing Beau Raines(BRW 10/24)

92.5 The River/WXRV Announces New Program Director Longtime Music Director, Catie Wilber to Lead Northeast Broadcasting’s Triple A Radio Station.

BOSTON, MA., June 1st, 2010 – 92.5 The River/WXRV, Boston’s exclusive Triple A radio station, has appointed longtime Music Director and Acting PD, Catie Wilber to lead the radio station as Program Director. Wilber began her career in 1993 while attending Emerson College as in intern at WFNX (Boston’s heritage Alternative radio station). She joined 92.5 The River in 2002 and advanced to the position of Music Director in 2006. She was recently promoted to Acting PD/MD in October 2009.

In 6 months to a year, we'll be reading about her departure. That place should have a revolving door for an employee entrance. Few have lasted over the years. Very few.
