Same old song and dance : PPMs show big formats still rule

Fans of Kiss 108, Magic 106.7, WBZ AM 1030, Oldies 103.3 and WROR 105.7FM got good news in the first ever meausurement using Arbitron's new and much-scrutinized Portable People Meter ratings system. The first commercial results for March were released this afternoon. In addition, with the release of March numbers, the January and February numbers are now also considered currency and can be used for selling radio advertising time.

All those stations did well under the new PPM system, which is now a primary gauge by which Boston stations decide what they put on the air.
