ESPN Boston on the move

ESPN Boston(heard via AM 890 and AM 1400) is in the process of changing its address. The sports station which airs mostly ESPN Radio's national shows and two local talk shows during weekdays("Salk and Halloran" from Noon to 2pm and "Lew and Mike" from 4pm to 7pm) is leaving its longtime digs at the Schraffts Building in Charlestown and heading for the suburban Waltham. ESPN 890/1400's owner Waller Sutton has been actively looking to rent new studio space over the past couple years. ESPN 890/1400's new studio and offices will now be based in a building on South Street owned by Nassau Broadcasting where it currently operates classical outlet WCRB 99.5FM and a classical music network.

I was hoping the change of address was the frequency. I get the station fine, but others complain about a poor signal. The station is an alternative to 850.

Agree, until they get a better signal, their studio location is irrelevant.

If they have money to move, they should pay ex-employees what they are owed.

The signal had no problem getting ratings for the station when it was Spanish.
